Jim Harbaugh meets Allen Iverson during All-Star weekend
When you become the first football coach to get Michael Jordan to sponsor your team’s gear, you get invited to his birthday party. When MJ’s birthday falls during All-Star weekend, you get to be where all present and past NBA stars converge.
And when you’re Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and you meet Allen Iverson at the party of the man whose gear your team wears, you go the diplomatic route and declare Iverson “my tied for 1st favorite Baller of All-Time.” (We can all probably guess whom he’s referring to as the other favorite.)
Great thrill to meet my tied for 1st favorite Baller of All-Time @ MJ's BDay party. A.I. could not have been cooler! pic.twitter.com/Px9GmGP2AN

There is definitely merit to Harbaugh’s fandom of Iverson, as the Wolverines coach wore Iverson’s home Sixers jersey last June while working a camp at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. Iverson is from nearby Hampton.

And meeting Iverson wasn’t the only highlight of Harbaugh’s trip to New Orleans, as his kids were shown on the Smooth King Center’s videoboard during Sunday’s game.
